Day two in Munich

Day two in Munich started off with breakfast in the hotel. The hotel serves breakfast from 7am to 10am and do a great continental selection. With all that choice I'm afraid I was still very boring - all I had was granola with yogurt, bread roll with nutella and coffee.

We spent the morning of day two at the Dachau concentration camp memorial site. This was grim - you can't say much more than that. From there we took the ubahn back to Hauptbahnhof, grabbed some coffee and cake (Apple streudel and apple schnake at Rischart) before heading towards the BMW museum near Olympia Park.

The BMW was AWESOME and is a must do place for any car / motorbike fans!!

Spent a good few hours wandering around here... Great way to view the history of BMW. They're currently celebrating 40 years of the 3 series and that exhibition is well worth going to!

For dinner that evening we chose to go to Rusticana on Grillparzenstr.

It was busy and though we didn't make a reservation they managed to fit us in!

Just ordered steaks. I chose the 250g fillet and they both went with the 400g of sirloin steak. All ordered medium. They were cooked to perfection, served with baked potato in sour cream & chive, herb butter and some kind of salsa. The fiery pepper sauce I got on the side was just right :)

Drinks time and first stop was Negroni..

The cocktail menu here is immense! The quotes at the bottom of the pages made me giggle..

First round I chose Lynchberg Lemonade and they got Rum Runners...

For the second round I got Ciao Bella. Don't ask me what was in it but it was really nice. The others chose Coffee Shot Martini.

Really good cocktails. I didn't want to leave but we did leave to go to Hofbraukeller (recommended to me by The Cupcake Bloke!) on Inner Wiener Str near Cafe Weiner Platz and no I can't say that with a straight face.

Beer, wine & pretzel to finish off day two :)
